I am a golfer and used to carry my bag on my back during every round. I have recently switched to using a push cart because I find that I don't lose shots at the end of the round to fatigue, which happened a lot while I carried the bag. That said, ceasing carrying my bag has also coincided with the onset of occasional crippling upper back pain. Kind of a catch-22... I imagine that carrying my bag kept my upper back strong, such that I avoided back pain, but my game suffered. Now my game is better, but my back is worse. Perhaps I should work out by just taking my golf bag out and walking 2-3 miles with it on? I would be curious to hear your thoughts on this!
